Hefei lon Medical Center (HIMC), co-founded by Hefei Municipal Government and Hefei institutes of physical science, Chinese Academy of science (CASHlPS),is located in Hefei High-Tech Zone, Anhui Province,China.lt is a modern and international cancer treatment center integrating medical treatment, science, education and research functions. HlMC is on the front line in the fight against cancer by offering the most advanced treatment technologies in proton and photon therapies.
HIMC has realized deep cooperation and resources sharing with Anhui Provincial Hospital (The First Affiliated Hospital of USTC),built a strategic partnership with Varian including HIMC-VARlAN Proton Therapy System Training Center in china, and estabished a scientific research and education platform with the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
Our Proton Therapy Center covers an overall area of 70 mu, with four floors above the ground(including mezzanine) and one floor under the ground, with a construction area of 34,000 square meters and more than 40 beds.lt is wholly funded by Hefei Municipal Finance, with a total investment of 1,499 billion Yuan.
Aiming at building a first-rate proton treatment center,Hefei lon Medical Center introduced the world’s leading Varian ProBeam Proton Therapy System which includes 3 fully rotational gantry treatment rooms, 1 fixed beam treatment room and 1 research room.Meanwhile,we’re also equipped with two Varian VitalBeam linear accelerators and a suite of Siemens Healthineers diagnostic CT, MR and auxiliary equipment.
